Yige is a PhD student researching data science and its applications in higher education. He completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Computer Science at unimelb. He enjoys hiking, food, travelling and reading non-fiction :)
Han is studying a Master of Computer Science. They completed a Bachelor of Science (Maths and Stats) and concurrent Diploma in Computing also at Unimelb. Han has been teaching comp10001 since 2019.
Hello! I’m Rose, a third year Pure Maths major. I’ve been teaching computer science for 2 years, while also working at the ERC library and in STEM outreach. I love socialising, going out for coffee or a meal, playing 500 with my friends, and listening to podcasts.
Hey! I am a second year MSc student in Physics with the Experimental Particle Physics research group. When I’m not manipulating equations I’m usually manipulating videos - I am passionate about cinematography and have also been doing VFX, editing and 3D animation for a few years now. I also am a committee member of the Filmmakers Collaborative at Unimelb.

Hi everyone! I’m Amanda, a third year student in the BSci - Computing and Software Systems major. I also love books, gardens and baking! Super excited to join you all in your computing journey <3
Hello! I’m Chen, a PhD student in the School of Computing and Information Systems. My research interests are machine learning and anomaly detection. In my spare time, I like to play tennis, go hiking and do pottery. Can’t wait to start this programming journey with you all :)
Hi there, I’m Chris. I’ve graduated from Masters of Computer Science at Unimelb and have been tutoring for this subject for a few years now. I love puzzles (creating and solving them), food (creating and eating them), and video games (creating and playing them). And of course, I love introducing and teaching programming to anyone!
Hi! I’m a third-year BSci Data Science Student. In my free time, I love playing table tennis and going for long walks in the city. You can find me volunteering for DSCubed and CISSA. I’m excited to meet you all and make you love computing!
Hi all! I’m Harry, a recent graduate of BSC CSS. I spend most of my time tutoring several subjects in the CSS major, so you might get quite familiar with my face. In the rare free time that I have, I love to build new things to make my daily life more efficient, or cook something new.
Hey! I’m Hugo, a second year MCS student and general computer science enthusiast. I like cooking, reading, rock climbing and am particularly interested in the intersection of ethics and computer science - feel free to have a chat to me if you’re into any of these things too! I’m super excited to meet you all and share in your programming journey :))
Hello World! I’m Kacie, a BSc student in Electrical Engineering. I am passionate about embedded systems from both a software and hardware perspective. I am also quite involved with the engineering student clubs, so you might see me around, feel free to say hi! I hope you enjoy the subject!
I’m completing my PhD in Computer Science, with a particular interest in machine learning on graphs and trustworthy vision-language models. Swimming is my go-to activity when I have free time.
Hello! I’m Vanessa. I just completed my Bachelor’s degree in Data Science last semester. I’m a big fan of coffee and food. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops, going on walks, and traveling. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Bonjour! I’m Vincent, a PhD student in the School of Computing and Information Systems. My research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning and optimisation. I’m thrilled to welcome you to the world of programming! Brace yourselves for an adventure full of {syntax errors} and {eureka moments}.
Hi! I’m Lily. I’m in my last semester of Masters of Computer Science, researching about generating DNA sequences with maching learning 🧬. I like listening to music, cooking, and reading sci-fi books 👽. Hope everyone can have fun with computing! 💻
I (on the left) am a first year PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Physics in the OzGrav and Opinion Dynamics groups, studying gravitational waves and modelling opinions physically. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking fancy meals, running long slow distances, brewing and consuming coffee, playing Zelda, and playing fetch with Nano (on the right).
I graduated from UniMelb with a BSc in Computing and Software Systems, and I am currently a software developer. I have tutored this subject and a couple others for nearly 3 years now!
Hi and kia ora! I’m Jarod, a 2nd year PhD student (nerd) from NZ that’s into a weird mix of everything! Currently researching social media polarisation and how generative AI can be used to prevent it, but how it can also be exploited by malicious actors to propagate it (with fixes of course!). My background is in cyber-security, HCI/AI, and a conjoint compsci and international relations undergrad. I’m excited for you all to explore the ever changing world of computing!
Hi all! I graduated BSc. Computing and Software Systems major last year and this is my third semester of teaching CS subjects. I like hiking, playing the piano and going out to try new cafes and bakeries with my friends. Can’t wait to meet you all, welcome to the world of computing!
Hey there! I’m Mary, a passionate BSc student finishing my last semester in Computing & Software Systems and Data Science. I enjoy volleyball, chess puzzles, animes and of course, developing softwares! E.g. will be working on some AI for a motor sports project this sem. See you peeps around during consultations! Can’t wait to answer some tricky questions.
Hi! My name is Leslie. I’m currently a Bsci student in her last semester in Computing & Software Systems. I like travelling, trying new food and sleeping :)
Hello! I’m Patrick, a second-year B-SCI student majoring in Mathematical Physics with a Concurrent Diploma in Computing. My hobbies include programming simulations and embedded systems on the university team’s rocket, pursuing my interest in quantitative finance, and automating even the most menial tasks. Chances are, if you spot me around campus, I’ll be programming!
Hey there! I’m Tharun, a PhD student currently researching machine learning to improve manufacturing efficiency. I graduated from UniMelb with a BSc in Computing and Software Systems in 2021. I have been tutoring for about 6 semesters and I also tutor for SWEN20003!
